The factory would use so much electricity that it was cheaper for them to build their own small power station to create their own electricity.
The boilers are filled with horizontal pipes that contain oil, which are heated from the furnace. As the boilers build up with ash waste between the pipes it loses its efficiency, so every year they have to be peened using glass bead to remove any scaling and ash waste. The idea to peen the pipes with glass bead is to avoid keying the surface to help avoid waste sticking to it.
Six boilers in total have to be cleaned in total, across five levels high. As the entrance into each chamber is just about big enough to fit a man through, and so small inside you can barely sit up straight, all our staff are trained to work in confined spaces with an emergency rescue team outside for safety purposes.
